'Video Box Player' is an interesting program which is meant to help you watch your favorite DVDs or YouTube videos.
This is possible due to the movie screen which resides on the top of your screen. It makes itself comfortable and moves all your desktop icons so you don't have to minimize the program in order to access them. It also resizes your browser and other program's windows so you won't be disturbed while working. This is very useful and looks very good if you use a wide screen monitor.
The program is structured in a few tabs. The most important seemed to be 'DVD' and 'YouTube'. The first tab, 'MusicVideos', didn't work. I've tried to open those links in new windows but the only things I've got were errors. When running in DVD mode, you can't move the progress bar. The video will start again if you try that. It's very easy to select or de-select full screen mode so you can enjoy your breaks from work.
The next tab is 'Weather'. This is difficult to use and, in my opinion, is useless. You can't look for a city, but only for a zip code. It offers only general information about the weather and no forecast. The following tab is for 'LAST.FM' and the last is for configuring the program.
The user interface is easy to use. The program can be placed on the left or right side of the screen and you can use one of the nine available themes for the player.
Pluses: Great for using while working. You can access YouTube very easyly and you can also watch your favorite DVDs.
Drawbacks / flaws: It has some flaws and some of its features don't work.
In conclusion: I hope that it will be fully functional in the next release.

Amazing...I use it all day at work I didn't have the same problems that the editor had. However, the version that I have is not the same as he or she must have used. It works great for me. It keeps me sane all day at my design job! Try it.
