 | | Free Internet Content Logger is a useful tool, especially for webmasters, and basically, for anyone concerned with the detailed network traffic. When I say detailed, I mean you get all data, in full.
Basically, this program records all network traffic and saves it into detailed logs for every application that accesses the Internet. For every monitored day, the program will create a directory containing all the logs of the application that had accessed the Internet on that day. Details include accessed hosts, content-type, user-agents, product name, server types, etc.
This data may be useful for system administrators, software developers, webmasters, etc.
Pluses:
Drawbacks / flaws: I noticed that once I started the program, Mozilla Firefox 3.0.0.4 stopped working (system: Intel P4 3 GHz, 2 Gb RAM, Vista Home Premium SP 1).
Another inconvenient is that the logs can grow to considerable sizes, and I must mention that I have waited for a serious period of time for a 24 Mb log to open. Not to mention a lot larger files.
The program can't be shut down normally, you will have to close it from the 'Windows Task Manager'
In conclusion: A useful application recommended especially for expert users.
