 | | PADGen is a piece of software provided by ASP (Association of Shareware Professionals) free of charge in order to help you promote your software products quickly and easily.
PADGen allows you to promote your software by generating PAD (Portable Application Description) files in XML format. These files will contain all data regarding your program: your company information, program information, program descriptions, Web information (URLs for ordering, download, screenshots, etc.), permissions (distribution agreements and End User License Agreement), affiliates information and an extension form for ASP members.
The program supports the PAD specifications 3.01 and it will export your data in HTM or EML format. You can save your company information and program information in order to re-use it whenever you need to create a PAD file for a new program. Existing PAD files can also be imported in order to be edited. Previewing of new files is available before generating them.
PAD files can be deployed by including them in the program's distribution file (RAR, ZIP, EXE, etc) with the name PAD_FILE.XML
Pluses: You can choose your file encoding, appearance and you can choose to automatically generate HTML file with PAD XML file.
