 | | 'AudioCDGrabber', as shown in the title is a audio CD grabber which can help you extract the tracks from your audio CDs. Without complicated menus, it can save your files as MP3, WMA, AAC, MP4, or WAV. A very interesting feature is the 'Free DB'. It can connect to 'Free DB' database over the Internet and get the info about your tracks like album, title, or artist. This is a very useful feature especially if you don't like your audio files to be named 'Track' followed by a number. For the quality control of your output files you can create profiles or use the default ones. If you don't want to extract all the tracks you can play them with the inbuilt player in order to choose the right ones. After you select the tracks you like and configure the necessary settings you have to press the 'Grab' button and the process will start.
Unlike other burners, besides offering the possibility to eject the CD/DVD tray, it offers also the possibility to insert it back with a simple click. In the trial version you can grab only 30% of a track. During the test, the program worked flawlessly and I was impressed by its simple, intuitive, and friendly user interface. Unfortunately it doesn't provide a volume controller and if you use headphones while using this program you need to work with the Windows volume control.
Pluses: Very easy to use. The 'Free DB' feature is very interesting and useful.
Drawbacks / flaws: You can't control the volume of the audio playback.
In conclusion: If you need to convert you audio CDs in order to use them on your computer or MP3 player feel free to use this program, of course after you buy it. It works good.
