BoosterMarketing Page Rank is a small program with an appealing title. In fact, the idea is actually a marketing tool. The page rank displayed by this program is no other than the page rang depicted by Google toolbar or other similar page ranking services.
Using this tool is very simple: enter the URL of the page you want to check and the program will display it's rank. The interesting thing is that there's another button which 'invites' you to increase your page rank. Obviously, I was very curious about how a page rank can be increased, so I immediately clicked that button. Well, the answer was no big mystery. A new Internet Explorer page opened inviting me to buy pixels on a Website where I could place ads. So, I was kind of disappointed. After all, this product is no more than a marketing product. And a question rose: why use and pay a virtually unknown marketer when you can use Google's AdSense or other free services?
Pluses:
Drawbacks / flaws:
In conclusion: Personally, I believe that this program can be considered to be a marketing tool rather than an Internet tool.
