WidgDock is a complete Mac OS X dock packaged as a widget.
This isn't a Dashboard widget. In fact is a
Yahoo! Widget Engine application, so this engine is a requirement.
This dock has various features. It even has a built in a 'Trash'. The configuration of the interface gives you the possibility to use various stiles, sizes and positioning of this dock.
This Dock is pretty useful, especially if you work with a lot of applications and you don't have enough space into the built in Mac OS X Dock menu.
This widget isn't a replacement for the Dock menu though. The running applications would still place their icons into the Dock menu. WidgDock it just completes the functionality of the already existing Dock.
Pluses: it extends the functionality of the built in Dock menu.
Drawbacks / flaws: it uses several times more resources than the built in Dock menu, it lacks the magnifying effects.
In conclusion: this is a very useful widget especially if you use lots of applications and you want quick access to them.
