 | | Ignis Fatui is a nice and free OpenGL screensaver.
It is a very simple representation, but at the same time it is pretty catchy for the eyes. This screensaver shows you a shifting system of glowing lights. You can see the lights coming towards you and passing your screen.
The screensaver has some options too. You can set the direction, the colors, the number of particles, the size of the particles, and the speed of the particles.
The direction can be picked from a list that looks like this: up, down, in, random, or cycle. The colors also have a list that looks like this: emerald, lapis, amber, amethyst, random, or cycle.
The number of particles, their size, and speed can influence how fluent the screensaver works. If you have a slower machine, it is recommended to use fewer particles, smaller sizes, and slower speed.
Pluses: it looks quite good on your desktop.
Drawbacks / flaws: this screensaver crashed several times the System Preferences application without any particular reason.
In conclusion: besides that System Preferences crash issue, this is a quite good product.
