'honestech Video Editor', as the name suggests, is a video file editor. With this program you can customize your video files by merging them, splitting them, or you can cut various parts from them. After you obtain the desired parts, you can merge them with the help of many interesting effects and transitions. When using the timeline editing, it is very easy to add transitions, to change the position and size of the clips and create various effects. You might consider reading the 'Help' file before using this program because its a very complex program and a little bit difficult to use.

Among other settings, you can change the speed and create a slow or fast motion effect. With fast motion effect, you can make a funny movie or action movie. If you change the speed of a video clip, you might need to mute the audio to avoid the unexpected audio effects. Another feature of the program is 'Overlay'. Overlay is similar to the picture-within-a-picture feature seen in many TV sets. It allows you to display two clips on a single screen or overlap two clips and so forth. When your work is done you can create a disc or write it to a DV-tape. The program has an inbuilt burner to help you.

Pluses: Nice features and effects. With this program you can make professional clips very easy.

Drawbacks / flaws: A little unstable.

In conclusion:You might give it a try. I enjoyed testing it but I look forward for the next version hopping that it will be more stable.
