Rapid Typing Tutor 2.9.4

RapidTyping - Typing Tutor is a small and funny typing tutor. This means that you can use the program to learn how to type fast an correctly, and most important, without looking at the keyboard.

I found this program very funny because the text to be written appears to be flowing in a fishbowl. You can, of course, turn off the animation in case it affects your concentration. You can start with simple exercises in order to get accustomed to typing without looking at the keyboard. Then, you have a large variety of exercises to choose from, in case you want to skip lessons. You can also create custom text.

The program will time your typing and you will be able to look at the statistics of your exercises: word per minute or character per minute, accuracy and total time. The interface is customizable and you can turn on/off sound and animation. Beginners can also choose to view a virtual keyboard where the characters are highlighted.
Pluses:

Drawbacks / flaws: The highlighted keys on the keyboard emulator are not very visible due to the low contrast.

In conclusion: A very good solution for learning how to type in a few simple steps. All you need is determination.
