 | | 'My Video Downloader' is the next generation of video downloader content from hosting Websites. The program can be used not only for downloading content, but also for converting files to different formats.
You can use this application to download your favorite videos from Websites such as Youtube, Google Video, iFilm, etc. (if you want to see all the supported sites, you should check out the producer's Webpage). You can also convert the downloaded content to your favorite video format. The program can convert files to MP4 (iPod, iPhone and PSP), MPEG2, MPG (VCD and SVCD), 3GP, AVI (Xvid), SWF (Flash), MOV, MP3 and Zune Video.
Due to its nicely designed interface, the program is easy-to-use. You paste the URL of the video you want to download or encode and you click 'Get video'. Then you can enter a name for the file and choose your output format. During this step, you also have access to the advanced options for each output format, such as the quality, codec, resolution, etc. Next, you add your file to the queue and then hit 'Start' to begin the process.
Pluses: It downloads and converts media files. It has a batch download option.
Drawbacks / flaws:
In conclusion: I found this application very useful. However, anyone using it should pay attention to copyrighted material.
