| | A sitemap is a map of a website that shows the web pages and how they are linked or related. Sitemaps are usually provided so that visitors can easily navigate through your site. Search engines also use sitemaps to index your site. The sitemap's format submitted to search engines is a bit different. Usually an XML tree structure is used inside these sitemap files.
This program is a sitemap editor. Please notice that I didn't say "sitemap manager" or "sitemap creator". This is because Sitemap Writer can only edit the sitemap files. However, it does allow you to add URLs to your sitemap one at a time. With this software, you can't scan your website for new links. You have to add each new URL yourself.
If you want to use this software, you need to generate a sitemap first. You can edit the sitemap afterwards using Sitemap Writer. Each item in your sitemap contains a link, the modified date, the change frequency, and the priority. All these properties can be modified through this program's user interface.
Pluses: Importing and exporting URL lists (using text format) is supported.
Drawbacks / flaws: This tool is not efficient if you have a large website.
In conclusion: In my opinion, Sitemap Writer needs some extra features.
