 | | 'Brain Train Age' is a personal assessment tool, which helps you get a glimpse of the level of your cognitive abilities.
The program has two major sections. You can either take a quick IQ test or you can take the entire sequence of tests, which measure the level of different cognitive abilities. You can also take a test that measures your brain's age. This timed test is based on your response speed and attention. You can compare the test result to the most active age of people's brain, which is 20 years old.
As for the other cognitive abilities, there are various game-like tests. They are grouped into five sections: memory, analysis, intuition, count, and illation (deductive ability). The games are based on recognition, counting, quick math operations, etc.
The program has a very attractive interface and it is very easy-to-use. The instructions are clear and with examples, so you will definitely know how to play the games. Speed and accuracy are two important qualities. You can also use this program to train your brain at a basic level. This is as important as working out. Because we all know that starting at a certain age, your brain abilities will slowly decrease.
Pluses:
Drawbacks / flaws: The IQ test doesn't specify the age for which it's designed. I reckon it's not designed for 7 year-old children.
In conclusion: I found this program very useful especially for schoolchildren, since the exercises are designed to stimulate your brain as well as test it.
