'RDC Menu' is an application that gives extra functionality to Microsoft's
Remote Desktop Connection.
The application has an installation package that requires the path to the Remote Desktop Connection installation on your Mac. Alternatively, it can download the program from the producer, because Microsoft's software is a requirement.
I must say that the 'Bookmarks' functionality is useful. It replaces the need to save your Remote Desktop Connection files on your hard drive. It also gives you more flexibility and almost the same menu with which to configure a remote connection, as the RDC program. The bookmark window allows you to import/export bookmarks, as well as provides you with a duplicate functionality, with which you can make an exact copy of a bookmark.
The 'Preferences' menu gives you various options that can customize the behavior of this application. There aren't many preferences. Moreover, these settings won't influence RDC.
Pluses: It allows you to use bookmarks instead of RDC files to make a connection to a remote machine. It also allows you to launch multiple instances of RDC.
Drawbacks / flaws: It uses Microsoft's RDC program, so it doesn't bring many new things. I think that the price isn't fair, but that's the producer's decision.
In conclusion: If you don't use multiple remote desktop connections, stick to RDC's ability to save the settings to a file. If RDC would support multiple instances, this application would be useless.
