'PC-in-IE' is a program that allows you to connect to another computer through any TCP/IP network. The program turns your computer into a remote desktop server. You have the option to control a computer's desktop remotely, or you can select to view it only.
Anyway, this program isn't appropriate for spying on someone. It's highly unlikely that the person that you're spying, won't see the traffic generated by this program. I measured the bandwidth used by the program and I wasn't impressed. It used about 1 MB/s to "transfer the desktop" from one computer to the second.
Although the publisher states that PC-in-IE supports remote keyboard control, you can't use this feature. In addition, it's impossible to double-click anything on the remote desktop.
Pluses: Drawbacks / flaws: The other computer's desktop can only be viewed in Internet Explorer. In order to make it work, you also need to install an Internet Explorer ActiveX plugin on the client computer. Sometimes, Internet Explorer security settings are configured to disable installation of new ActiveX controls.
In conclusion: I will stick to Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection, which is embedded in Windows XP Professional. If you own a different operating system, I suggest you try some other similar software such as
Remote Administrator.
