Reach-a-mail is a free email client software designed for use with portable USB devices. The program doesn't require an installation: just unzip the downloaded content on to the selected location, configure the program and that's all.
I liked using this program because it gives you freedom of motion with sheer simplicity. You can manage as many email accounts as you like and most important, you can import account information and settings from Outlook Express. The program has all the features of a well designed email client including server authentication and support for
SSL & TLS .
The difference between this email client and others alike is the fact that, when acquiring new messages, it will download only the message headers. You can select the messages that are really important to you and download them on to your USB drive. I especially liked this feature because it will save space on my drive. Copies of the messages can also be left on the server. A built-in search engine and address book allow you to sort your mail and contacts.
Pluses: The program is easy to configure and use. An excellent interface, a configuration wizard and multi-language support are only a few of its pluses.
Drawbacks / flaws: The program doesn't have a spam filter.
In conclusion: A very good option for those who travel a lot and need to be up-to-date via email.
