Colorful Audio Recorder 2.0.7

As the name suggests, 'Colorful Audio Recorder' is an audio recorder. You can record any sound played by your sound card. The supported file formats are WAV, MP3, WMA, and OGG. You can set specific options for each one of these output files. When saving the audio files, you can specify a default directory where they can be stored or you can just select a directory, as well as change the name of each file.

While testing the program, I started to record a radio station. I recorded by selecting the output from my audio card. After I finished the recording, I tried to play the recorded audio file, but there was no player. I was forced to use a third party application. Then, I noticed that I recorded a little longer than I wanted. Therefore, I tried to edit the recording, but I couldn't find any audio editor provided with this program. That was a little frustrating.

The user interface is easy to understand and the settings are easy to configure. The producer offers three skins for this program. Even though, two skins look identical but have different colors.

Pluses: Easy-to-use.

Drawbacks / flaws: To few features. It's expensive.

In conclusion: It's an audio recorder, which can be configured easily. If you want a simple audio recorder, you might try it.
