'MacBomber' is an Open Source 3D clone of Bomberman.

This game might look familiar to Linux users, because it was inspired by ClanBomber, a Linux Open Source clone of Bomberman. It uses the same maps, but the implementation of the game is a little different.

The game doesn't have network multiplayer or AI. You can play against your friends, only if you share the same keyboard. There can be up-to-four players on the same keyboard, but that isn't a great option.

The game doesn't have tiny silly characters that plant bombs. Instead, it has four Macintosh computers that have different colors. In this game, the objective is to blow the overseer's computer.

Picking up bonuses is a good thing. They can increase your movement speed, the number of the bombs you can use simultaneously, the explosion range, or give you new capabilities, such as kicking the bombs. On the other hand, you are 'penalized' if you pick up a red item, such as a weed or a condom. Stay away from the red items.

Pluses: it has the maps from ClanBomber. It's a complete implementation of Bomberman.

Drawbacks / flaws: it lacks the network multiplayer game and AI. The interface is a little rough.

In conclusion: There are some special effects in this game, but the implementation is far from perfect. The producer still needs to develop this application to be as good as the originals on the other operating systems.
