Digital Music Record Edit Burn Studio 7.4.3.1

This program can be called a digital music studio, because it offers six applications: audio recorder, audio converter, audio editor, audio CD burner, audio MP3 CD burner, and audio grabber.

'Audio Recorder'
The recorder is nice, simple, and easy-to-use. Being a recorder, I expected to be able to record all sound you hear on your speakers. In fact, you can only record the input to your audio card. If you need to record the output, it's not possible.

'Audio Converter'
It supports a wide range of file formats, which can be converted to different output formats, such as WAV, MP3, WMA, MP2, OGG, VOX, etc. You can choose the quality from a preset range or you can specify the settings yourself. After conversion, the program can shutdown or restart your computer. This is very useful, because this program can convert many files and you don't have to wait until it finishes the job.

'Audio CD Burner'
Another interesting feature is the 'CD Burner'. Here you can create audio CD's with your favorite music. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find an option for eliminating the pause between tracks, which can be sometimes annoying. Although, you have other interesting options like test mode, use buffer protect, or disc at once.

'Audio Editor'
If you like to edit your audio files you can try the 'Audio Editor'. Here you find many features that can help you in the editing process, like the chorus effect, the flanging effect, reverberation, turning the waveform upside down, etc. You can get nice results with this editor. The program also offers you a frequency analyzer.

'MP3 CD Burner'
As the 'Audio CD Burner', the 'MP3 CD Burner' helps you burn your favorite MP3s to CD. Among its features, I saw a 'Delete Folder' option, but I wasn't able to import a folder or create one. At least you can select more files when importing, because otherwise it would be an exhausting job adding the files one by one. I think this application needs improvement in the next release.

'Audio Grabber'
A nice feature of the CD grabber is that it can connect to FreeDB, but it doesn't download anything from that site. I expected the program to download the information about the album I was ripping, but when I finished, my ripped files were still named 'Track' followed by the index number.

Pluses: In the trial version, you can use it for a limited number of times with all its features, so you can test it for real.

Drawbacks / flaws: It can't burn DVDs. The 'Audio MP3 CD burner' has a delete folder option, but you can't import folders.

In conclusion: Considering that it can be used with all its features for a few times, you could try it.
