| | Yahoo! Messenger Archive Decoder is a small, free piece of software designed to help you keep an accurate log of your conferences and private messages when using Yahoo! Messenger.
Although the interface appears to be somehow old fashioned, the program is very easy to install and use. In order to view the message archive, you need to complete a three step process.
First, you have to choose a Yahoo! Messenger profile available. Next, you need to select which archive you wish to view: 'Private Messages' or 'Conference'? In the third stage, you will select the remote user you want to view the chat conversations for and finally, you have to click 'View'.
Although you can't export conversations, you can copy (only with Ctrl+C) and paste them into a text document.
