 | | 'Mask Surf Lite' is an excellent choice for anyone who wishes to browse the Web anonymously, as well as anyone who is concerned about their Web browsing privacy.
The program is small, compact, and very easily configured. Once started, the program will automatically select a proxy and hide your real IP number, so that you can browse the Web undetected. The program includes options for cleaning your Web surfing traces, such as erase all data from the browser's cache, delete cookies, delete cached addresses, delete history, as well as delete all saved forms and passwords.
The program can also make instant messaging anonymous, if you are using one of the following instant messengers: Windows Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, ICQ, and AIM 5.9 or below. Although, when I launched Yahoo! Messenger while the program was running, I couldn't sign in.
Pluses:
Drawbacks / flaws: The protection for instant messengers is reduced to only Windows Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, ICQ and AIM 5.9 or below. Support for Opera browser is not included. Your IP number will remain unchanged until you restart the program. There is no option that changes the proxy at certain time intervals. Yahoo! Messenger malfunctioned when the program was running. There is no help section.
In conclusion: A good program, suitable for beginners, but it needs some major improvements.
