| | Akti Blog helps you create a personal blog in a matter of minutes. The structure and appearance of your blog can be customized by modifying the program's options. Several templates are provided for the blog's interface, but you can customize them according to your taste. However, the customize operation requires you to know HTML programming, because each template is coded in HTML.
The blog pages created by this program are not dynamic. This means that if you want to add something on your blog pages, you have to upload the whole site again. Uploading the website is easy, because the program provides a FTP client feature. Almost all website hosting packages include FTP access. However, if you want to use Akti Blog to upload your website, you should check for this just to be sure.
You might want to copy your blog pages to a CD. The program can generate an "autorun.inf" file, which will automatically start your blog each time you insert the CD.
Finally, I want to mention that Akti Blog organizes your blog into categories. You can define notes for each category. These notes are in fact web pages in your blog. Each note can contain pictures, audio, videos, and formatted text.
Pluses: You can embed videos in your blog pages. The visitor needs to have at least Windows Media Player 6 installed, to be able to play videos directly from your website. I guess there isn't anyone using an older version anyway, so this shouldn't be a problem.
Drawbacks / flaws:
In conclusion: Akti Blog is an easy to use blog page generator. You should use it, if you don't plan to update your site very often.
