| | Subdownloader gives you a quick access to subtitles in various languages.
This application is shareware. It will allow you to anonymously connect to the subtitle database for 30 days; after this you will have to register the program in in order to be able to use it. This program is simple and clean. However, you will need to create a free account if you want to use the 'Upload' feature of the program.
Using the program is very simple: you need to specify the video file or recursive directory and the program will search for subtitles matching your criteria. The program will query the subtitles.org subtitle database in order to get your desired results. In case your search returned no results, there also the possibility to search the Web for matching subtitles. Search options include searching by language/s.
The program can be configured to search for subtitles in different languages. The subtitles can be downloaded into the same directory with the movie or you can choose a custom location.
Pluses: Using the context menu, you can report bad movies, bad subtitles and rate subtitles. Windows Explorer context menu integration. You can also use the program for uploading subtitle files in order to contribute to the enrichment of the free subtitle database. However, you need to register for free in order to be able to upload subtitles.
Drawbacks / flaws:
