| | 'AVS Media Audio Tools', as the name suggests, is a program meant to help you manage your audio files. Its features are structured in 4 major categories. Each feature in these categories is structured more or less in a wizard-like interface.
Each time you select a feature it will open in a new user interface. Ther are two features in the 'File Tools' category. 'Convert audio files' is one of them and it is structured into a four step wizard. It supports many audio formats like WAV, PCM, MP3, WMA, OGG, AMR, etc. The second in this category is 'Make music mix'. This is a complex mixer which features a list of predefined sounds grouped on specific categories like 'Alternative', 'Bass', 'Creative', 'Loops', etc.
Another category of features is disc tools. This features will help you create audio or MP3/WMA/AAC CDs as well as grabbing or cloning audio CDs. The third category is the 'Record tools'. Here you will find two features. One is to record from an input device and the other from Internet radio. Finally, the last category is 'Phone tools'. The two features located here will help you make ringtones and will allow you to upload them to your mobile phone.
The user interface is clean and intuitive and I think that even e newbie will not have any problems in using it.
Pluses: It brings a big number of features covering almost every aspect of an audio file.
Drawbacks / flaws:
In conclusion: I look forward for the next release hopping to see some improvements to the mixer area.
