 | | UpdatePatrol is a program, which helps you stay up-to-date and permanently monitor your favorite Websites and blogs for the latest news.
You can monitor as many Websites or blogs as you want using the programs automated features. Using the program is very simple. You need to add your favorite Websites' URL, select the refresh interval, authentication info (where necessary) and the program can start monitoring it.
You have also extra options when monitoring a Website. You ca enter a name for the site, add notes, show removed text after the site has been updated and choose custom scheduling. You can also enter content (a word or a phrase) that is to be ignored during the monitoring process. You can even customize actions regarding pop-ups on that selected site. There is also a 'Statistics' section, where you can view when the site has been added to the monitoring list, last view, last check, number of views or checks, and the number of updates.
The monitored sites can be previewed using the internal browser. In case, you are not satisfied with that, you can select the program to open the site using your default Web browser. The changes will be highlighted for you to better notice what's new.
Pluses:You can add every site to a group of your choice in order to have a quick access to each and everyone. Groups and subgroups can be viewed as a folder tree on the left side of the window.
