| | 'PC Chaperone' is an interesting program created for parental control. It offers so many features to restrict access to your computer that you need to remember the password or else you won't be able to use your own computer anymore. You can create filters for Internet with white and black lists. You can also restrict access to Messenger programs such as Yahoo!, AOL, or MSN.
While testing the program, the most interesting feature seamed to be the 'Windows Schedule'. Here you can set the number of hours per day that Windows can run. Alternatively, with the help of a schedule you can set between which hours Windows can run each day. The program can't be customized for each different user. In my opinion, this is bad because you could have two ways to insert the passwords and use the computer. If the program could be configured to work for a certain user, it will make a much better program. Before you start using the program, I recommend you to read the Help file because you can find useful information there.
Pluses: Great protection.
Drawbacks / flaws: Can't be configured for each user defined in Windows User Accounts.
In conclusion: If you need protection for your kids this might be the right software for you.
