| | 'Magnifying Glass Pro', as the name suggests is similar to 'Windows Magnifier' but it include many more features.
Basically, it is a zoom-utility that magnifies portions of the screen under your mouse cursor. This portion can be fixed or movable. If you want to use the fixed one which is very big it will reside in the top left corner of the screen while you move the mouse over it. In this case it will move in the middle of the page and stay there until above it.
If you choose to use the movable instance of the program the mouse pointer will be placed centered in it. It will move along with the mouse pointer magnifying a medium size area around the mouse pointer. I think this is very useful for designers or engineers because it is easy to access and if some details in a sketch need to be checked, this can be accomplished faster than zooming in. While the program is on, the usual function of the mouse are not altered.
You can start or stop the program by shaking the mouse cursor sideways. This is very useful especially if you are not able to use the keyboard or if the program's shortcut is actually used for a different action. The size and the position of the Glass can be modified as you wish. Unfortunately, the user interface is a little confusing and doesn't offers you the feeling of something customizable. In order to understand some features you have to read the 'Help' file.
