Trash Locked Files is a simple application that allows you to delete locked files.
The producer said he missed the option, which allowed you in Mac OS 9 to hold the Option key in order to delete the locked files. Because of this reason, he did an application that can do this thing for Mac OS X.
The program is simple and working with it is very easy. All you have to do is to launch it and every time when you need to empty the trash, click the program's icon from the Dock Menu instead of choosing the 'Empty Trash' option from the Trash's contextual menu.
When you click it, you get a confirmation dialog. This confirmation dialog can be disabled from the application's 'Preferences' panel. If you validate the delete command then the program unlocks the files from the Trash and then sends an AppleEvent to the Finder in order to empty the Trash.
The application provides some extra functionality for the registered version. All you have to do, is to send an e-mail to the producer and he will e-mail you back a registration code. With the registered version, can unlock files/folders that are not within the Trash.
Pluses: It is a useful tool if you have issues with deleting locked files.
Drawbacks / flaws: in order to use the complete version you have to send an e-mail.
In conclusion: a pretty useful tool but you won't be able to unlock everything: it won't do it if it's a mounted DMG image for example.

Trash Locked Files Publisher's Description
I wrote Trash Lock Files because I was fed up in Mac OS X with not being able to delete many locked files in my trash can without having to unlock them all first. Unlike Mac OS 9 where you could hold the option key down while emptying the trash, this does not work on Mac OS X (as of 10.2.3). Trash Lock Files will unlock all the files in the trash and then send an AppleEvent to the Finder to empty the trash.
