'MyPopBarrier' is a small program that allows the user to remove emails directly from the server.
Besides that, it also allows you to read and purge your e-mails from the
POP 3 server. You can also use dictionaries and cleanup your messages.
There are two lists: the list of the domains/words that are allowed and the list of the domains/words that are forbidden. When a forbidden domain/word is found inside an email, it will be automatically marked and you can purge that e-mail by pressing the 'Purge' button.
If you want to delete an e-mail that is "clean", you have to mark it manually and delete it after that, by pressing the 'Purge' button. This functionality can be used easily and with minimal effort.
This product is under active development. The producer implemented some nice features lately. Among the improvements are things like, the possibility to choose a custom font size for emails and their information, the possibility to stop the server connection, and a button that allows you to answer your emails. When clicking that button, the application opens your default email client and you can easily reply to the email.
Pluses:This is a very easy-to-use program. It can be used to sort and read your emails quickly. It also has a filter functionality.
Drawbacks / flaws: The filter functionality isn't a spam filter, so you have to use an additional spam filter, if you are getting spammed. It can't use
a SSL or a TLS connection to the POP mail server. If you have a secure account, you can't manage it with this program.
In conclusion: This is a pretty good and useful tool. It's also free. It can do the same things that other expensive programs can, like
Mailbox Manager.
