Data Guardian is a powerful encrypted database system where you can store your private data.
The security of your private data has become one of the biggest issues this days. This program features strong 448 bit BlowFish encryption so your data can be stored safely.
There are several templates that you can use in order to safely store your data. The predefined ones are: passwords, contacts and serial numbers. The program isn't limited to this templates so you can define your own.
I liked the possibility to access the Web pages directly from records. I liked even more the possibility to dial numbers directly from records, depending on your hardware or installed applications that can handle the dial of the phone numbers.
The application synchronizes very well with Safari's Keychain in order to use Safari's auto fill feature. This comes as an aid in order to use your stored passwords easier.
In order to use these databases in other programs you can export them to a flat-text file. If you would like to use the same databases within other operating system, it is possible. The producer has a Windows version of this program and the databases are cross-platform compatible.
Another interesting feature is the one which is clearing the clipboard automatically. You can specify a time interval or you can use this feature when quitting this program.
The program can generate automatically the passwords that you need. This feature works based on an user specified algorithm.
Pluses: it has strong encryption up to 448 bit for your databases, it synchronizes with Safari's Keychain, you can access the stored Web pages from the program or you can dial stored phone numbers.
Drawbacks / flaws:
In conclusion: a pretty good, safe, databases system with lots of interesting features.
