| | Currency Converter is a free tool that can convert about 150 currencies from one to another.
It has a very simple interface, with only a few things to select from (amount, and the two currencies to be converted) and requires an Internet connection for it to work.
I did some conversions and it was close to accurate, compared to other on-line converters, but I cannot tell if it does a good job with all the currencies or not. All these are listed randomly, so you have to press the first letter of the currency you seek in order to reach it quickly, or several times, because there are many that begin with the same letter. Having a firewall installed that blocks all access to the Internet zone will make the converter not work, for it contacts a remote host that helps return a result.
Pluses: It's free and has many currencies to choose from.
Drawbacks / flaws: Doesn't have a help file, and the producer doesn't specify if the conversion rates update automatically.
In conclusion: Helpful application, but you may want to check out other on-line converters for more up to date results.
