 | | Like the name says, Flash Slideshow Generator allows you to create flash slideshows from images or graphics. When I first opened the program, after the installation, I thought I had something else to configure before starting to work with it, but this software was designed to guide you, like an installation wizard. That's a little awkward to my liking. I'll describe the process in detail:
Step one: add images. You can add images in jpg, jpeg, gif, bmp format. Step two: select effect type. You have the option of applying a different effect to each image, or apply the same effect to all images, or just let the program select random effects for your slides. Step three: set transition effect. There are about 150 effects to choose from, so you may want to try some before proceeding to the next step. From this step forward a new button will be available; the “preview flash” button. As you have already guessed, when you click on that button a pop-up window will appear, showing you the resulting 'flash' movie. Step four: select play mode. I saw they spelled “Paly” instead of “Play”. Oh, well, we have to ignore that and decide if the slideshow will be played automatically, or on mouse click. Step five: set play duration. At this point, you can set values (in seconds) for the effect duration and the display duration. I've set 6 seconds for the effect duration, causing the program to work for more then 2 minutes, when I wanted to preview the slideshow, but 6 seconds is too much for some effects, if you ask me. This you have to decide for yourselves. Step six: other options. This is the final step before saving your movie. You can set the size of the flash slideshow and the FPS, and add MP3 and WAV files as sound background if you want.
Pluses: There are many effects to choose from.
Drawbacks / flaws: It has few options. Adding text to your slides would have been a nice addition to the program, for example.
In conclusion: You may want to look up other similar software.
