 | | This utility created by Kevin Solway allows you to listen to over one thousand free Internet radio and TV stations directly, without having to visit web sites. The player supports both Windows Media and Real Video, so you can play most stream formats in this one program. You need to have Real Player installed on your system in orer that 'Solway's Internet TV and Radio' should work at its full potential.
You can easily add your favorite radio or TV station by pressing the add button and then copying the station URL into the list. There are two links on the top of the program window (one for radio and one for TV) to third party web sites from which you can choose to save some more streams and play them in this player.
'Solway's Internet TV and Radio' has audio recording capabilities. You can record your favorite music directly to PCM, CCITT, GSM 6.10, IMA ADPCM and Microsoft ADPCM. TV stations can be viewed in full screen if you want to.
Pluses:
Drawbacks / flaws: Requires real player for full functionality. The playback and recording mixers don't work under Vista. The TV and radio station lists include too few stations. You need to manually search and add new stations to the list.
In conclusion: Although the list of TV and Radio stations is scarce, this program does a pretty good job.
