Foru Picture Downloader gives you the opportunity to save images directly from any internet page. Working together with IE, this software can be accessed directly from the IE toolbar. It will load all the pictures from the actual webpage. From here you can manage them and save what pictures you want. You can even set the measure of the picture and the local folder where you want to save it.
It sounds so simple and perfect. But it's not so perfect. It cannot load pictures from any HTML webpage. If you try webpages created with modern tools, the application will not load anything. Of course the examples from the help files are working, but these are simple pages. I tried to save some pictures from my email address on Yahoo domain, but it didn't work. Unfortunately it couldn't load anything, unless I clicked an image to view it.
Even though, there are fields to be completed, like address and domain, these fields are completed automatically by the software taking the information from the actual webpage. That means that you cannot use it alone without IE.
Pluses: easy to use, save very fast;
Drawbacks / flaws: cannot be used alone, cannot load pictures from any webpage;
In conclusion: The idea on which this software was created is great, but the results are not satisfactory.
