 | | This program creates animation sequences in real time. It morphs an image into another, but it can also add several warp effects. This software uses Direct3D to render the animation faster. FX Morph changes a human face into another through a flawless transition. However, it can be used to morph any image.
After importing the source and target images, you should define "feature-lines". These lines are used by the program when transforming the image. When you start the program, you can view four predefined animations. I recommend you open at least one of them, because they are a good example of what you can do with FX Morph.
It's also possible to add several effects to the source or to the target images. The available effects include "wipe", "wave", "fly", "page curl", "scale", "tile", and so on. Each special effect has options, which can be configured to customize the output animation. The number of frames used by each transformation can be adjusted, making the animation faster or slower.
Pluses: Exporting the animation can be done by using AVI, GIF, or Flash Movie formats. It's also possible to save a single frame of the animation as a BMP or a TGA file.
Drawbacks / flaws: This program has a few stability issues. For example, when I tried to double click one of the images, FX Morph closed itself without displaying any error messages.
In conclusion: The rendering performance is impressive, but it comes at a high cost. If more performance means less stability, then I would prefer my program to be more stable.
