! MP3 Audio Recorder Joiner 1.02

MP3 Audio Recorder Joiner is an eye candy tool that you can use for audio recording or merging other audio files into a single file .

The name of the program is starting with MP3 but it can also handle WAV, WAV/RAW or OGG files.

From the Settings area you can pick the audio source and the volume for it. You can also choose the audio quality for the output format and, if everything is OK, you can proceed with the recording.

The scheduler has a very nice implementation and you can make a lot of settings there. In order to split the output file you can use the File Length Limitation area with the Record into a new file option checked or you can stop the recording when the limit is reached.

The Record List window has the required options for this kind of program. I did try to merge several mp3 files and everything did work OK. The only thing that I did miss is the mixing option between the merged files. The program did not use a lot of memory even though the output file was quite large. This window can be used as a playlist for the loaded files plus you can use the built in ID3 tag editor.

Pluses: the application is fully functional and stable. The audio quality is good (depending on audio quality setup). It does everything that this kind of application has to do.

Drawbacks / flaws: sometimes the interface is slow and it is loading too much the CPU, the built in media player isn't very ergonomic. Sometimes slow when editing large files.

In conclusion: a good looking software that can do everything the producers said.
