 | | Because is summer it's time for portable console games. When you are travelling and the journey becomes boring, spending the time with your PDA sounds to be the best idea. That's why I have chosen for you, Atomic Battle Dragons Pocket. A classic arcade that reminds me of "Battle Axe" for SEGA Game Gear.
It's the story of a warrior who with the help of his dragon must defeat Belzom, the evil one. On your way you can find different upgrades that will give you extra powers to make your way much easier. But to be more exciting the game has also some RPG elements which are more and more common in each adventure or action game. By destroying the enemy you get experience points which can be distributed between your attack, health, speed, etc.
The game is a 2D arcade, that means you can move left and right, up and down. Depending on what kind of PDA you have, you can set your commands. Anyway if you play it in the landscape view, you will have all your buttons on the left, so I think is much better to move the character with the point-stick. For your help there will be also a minimap which gives you a clue of the level you are in. Because you can fly, in the beginning you will have a feeling that you can get lost. But the minimap makes a very good job, and helps find the enemies.
Pluses: the graphic looks very well on the PDA screen; you can play it also in landscape view; different ways of setting the controls; the minimap; RPG elements;
Drawbacks / flaws: hard to control the character; you can destroy the enemy only by bumpin with the dragon on to his head
In conclusion: A good game when you travel with the train or with the plane.
