 | | '#1 Video Converter' is an extremely viable video processing tool which allows you to convert, join, split video files, as well as extract audio or images from video files. You can convert MPG, MPEG, DAT, MOV, AVI, WMV, ASF, VOB video files to MPEG (in DVD, SVCD or VCD formats), to AVI (including the DivX format) and to Windows Media Format. If you want to convert to AVI video, you can choose file height and width, frame rate, to resize it, as well as choose a video and audio compressor. Besides converting files, you can split or join video files, or you can extract images from video files at a desired rate (pictures per second).
The interface is easy to use and skinnable. You can take advantage of the tips and wizard to get the job done in no time. A multi-task batch execute function is also included, so that you can select a list of files and actions to be performed with only a few clicks. Video files can be previewed with its built-in viewer.
The user interface is very intuitive. On the program's main window, you'll see only a few buttons. It doesn't have any complicated menus.
Pluses: You can create a list of different tasks and when all the tasks are created, you can start their execution.
Drawbacks / flaws: You can't edit ID3 tag for the resulted audio file.
In conclusion: It's a very nice program, but there is room for improvements. I look forward for the next release.
