 | | Are you tired of Nero and other similar CD/DVD burning applications. Well, I was, so I decided to try Complex Evolution. This program enables you to easily burn all types of CDs, DVDs, and even Blu-Ray or HD-DVD. The main goal of this software seems to be keeping it as easy as possible while at the same time providing several professional features.
The program supports creating multi-session disks, bootable disks, and it can use the buffer underrun feature of your CD/DVD writer. You can burn disks using the track-at-once, disk-at-once, or session-at-once writing methods. You also have the option to set the writing process priority. This ensures that your disks are burnt properly when you use your computer for other simultaneous tasks.
The user interface is very friendly and good looking. Several skins are available through the View->Themes menu. Multiple languages are supported, including German, French, Spanish, and so on.
Pluses: You can set the size of the cache used by the program, the file system type, whether to finalize the disk, and so on. I mostly like the fact that the program can be minimized to the system tray.
Drawbacks / flaws: It's impossible to save ISO images of audio CDs, before burning them. However, creating an image of a data CD/DVD is supported.
In conclusion: Simple, yet powerful, Complex Evolution really is a click and burn software.
