Video DVD Maker FREE, as shown in the title, is a very useful, free of charge DVD authoring tool.

The program is simple to install and use. You can use it to create DVDs using two types of input files: you can either use capture from a TV tuner, a web camera, MiniDV or you can add video files such as AVI, DIVX, XVID, MP4, MPG, WMV, ASF, MOV in order o create a disk. The good thing is that you can add several video files which will be joined and written on the disk.

You can create projects to be saved for later burning on disk or you can burn the same project several times. DVDs can be created using PAL or NTSC systems. When it comes to captured video, it can be compressed using a video and audio compressor of your choice.

There are also a few burning options: you can choose the burning speed, you can choose to test-write, create multi-session, and enable the buffer underrun protection.

Pluses:

Drawbacks / flaws: The media erase process is faulty. A couple of times when I started erasing a disk, it took me about 2 hours. Actually, I had to close the process, because it appeared that it will never end.

In conclusion: Although it's not as advanced as other commercial software alike, this program is still a very good alternative for bur burning your favorite video files.
