 | | This program provides real-time statistics about your computer's performance. It monitors your computer continuously, gathering information about the CPU, memory, and disk space usage. It also records data about the network traffic, about the current users connected to your computer, and so on.
There are two versions of this software. You can choose which version you want to use, during the installation. The "lite" version is free, so you don't need to pay anything in order to use it. In the following, I will describe the lite version, which everyone can use.
When starting the program, a floating window is displayed. It has a black background and the text is green. Unfortunately, it's impossible to change the colors, the font, or the transparency level of this window. If you right click this window, you can select the type of statistical data that you want to view.
Pluses: In order to be sure that your system is continuously monitored, you can set the program to start with Windows. The program also displays graphs containing the data it gathers.
Drawbacks / flaws: I don't like the fact that the program uses disabled sliders to show you the general condition of a system resource. These sliders are not numbered, so they are quite hard to figure out.
In conclusion: In my opinion, the user interface of this software needs some improving. Beside that, HSLAB Sys Monitor Lite is a good tool for monitoring your computer.

You can choose from CPU, memory, network connections, network traffic, disk space, connected users and more. You can only monitor one of these values at a time, but easily switch between them as needed. The small display can be placed anywhere on your screen and takes up very little desktop space.
