 | | Are you tired of repeating the same tasks every day? 'My Macros' can help you. It can record everything you do with your mouse and keyboard. This "recording" can be used later to accomplish the same tasks. Therefore, if you have to open your Internet browser and several websites every day, you can record your actions and hit playback each day, when you arrive at work.
My Macros is very simple. A beginner shouldn't have any problems, when learning to use this software. Once you click the "Record" button, the program is automatically minimized and starts recording. On the bottom-right side of the screen, the program displays the shortcut key for stopping the recording (CTRL+ALT+S).
The main user interface displays your macros as a list, allowing you to select which one you want to run. It's also possible to create or edit a macro manually, by using the program's built-in macro editor. Each macro contains commands like "insert keystroke", "insert mouse event", "insert delay", "manipulate window", and so on. After I recorded a macro, I was able to remove specific commands. However, when I played the modified macro, it had a very different outcome. My advice is to be careful what commands you delete or add to a macro. If you remove a command, which corresponds to a mouse movement, the macro will surely behave differently.
Pluses: My Macros supports associating an individual hotkey for playing each macro. It's also possible to repeat a macro several times, or to adjust its playback speed.
Drawbacks / flaws:
In conclusion: My Macros is a nice and simple tool for automating tasks that are repetitive.
