 | | After the computer became present in almost all big companies, the biggest problem revealed to be the informations transfer. First the magnetic discs were used to carry informations form a desk to another. But this was not enough.
What if you want to carry the informations further, outside the building where you work? That's how the scientists came to the idea of creating a network of computers. Till present, these networks are used in local or wide areas to transfer informations.
But what if you want to work with PC's that are not connected to the same network area, and still want to have the same settings and the same work files or folders? You might need a software that should save all your settings and then restore them into another PC. Magic Transfer is a synchronizing tool that is able to backup and restore informations from any computer to any computer.
You can backup:
- system files like: desktop shortcuts, start menu, quick launch, wallpaper, etc;
- Internet Explorer: settings, cookies, history, favorites;
- Outlook Express: adress book, settings, mail folders, accounts;
- files: My Documents, Recent Documents, custom folders;
- Mozilla Firefox: settings, bookmarks, plugins and extensions;
When you will restore the files to another computer you will have to choose if the application should replace the already existing files or not.
The interface represents only the two main processes (backup and restore), which include the five tabs (system, Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, Files, Mozilla Firefox) with the correspondent settings.
Pluses: very simple interface; you can even backup custom folders
Drawbacks / flaws:
In conclusion: Very useful tool for synchronozong your most used settings or informations.
