Smart Data Scrubber supports a new way of security data. It is already known that after deleting your information from your hard drive, it is still there. Well a normal user won't see anything but if somebody will use any data recovery application, he can immediately see and recover the deleted files.
Such an application is very useful for companies who want to change there computers with a newer generation. If the old computers will be sold to others, the files used on these machines must be erased with this application in order to obtain total confidentiallity.
The interface is very simple. You just have to choose which harddrive should be scanned and after a short report you can see the deleted files. These files can then be totally erased.
In general the application does its duty, but after our test, we realized that it can skip sometimes files. We used the recover data utility from Ontrack and we could recover one file. But hey, it's free, what else do you want?
