Sometimes you have to create one, or search for the perfect one on the internet. In any case you will try to find an icon that is as intuitive as the one from Microsoft. But what if you can scan you whole system and find one which will suite your application? I mean, why should you create an icon for your setup program, when there should be one on your system?
Coffee Find Icons Easy is a tool that can find or extract icons from dll's, exe's, etc. Just a single search will find thousands of icons on your system. Icons that can be saved as images, icons or cursors. You can save a single one or the whole batch displayed. For a better search you can specify the number of colors or the size in pixels of the icons. You can even view the icons by a custom size to see all the details that compose the icon.
Pluses: can extract icons from dll's and exe's; the icons can be displayed in detail;
Drawbacks / flaws: unfortunately there is no editing tool for icons
