| | Along the last five years, translation softwares developed rapidly. But, the algorithms implemented were still not so powerful to make a perfect translation. I can tell that I found an application flexible enough to make quite good translations. This is @promt Profession 7.0 (English Giant Pack). It's actually a package of applications that were developed one year ago. Updated with some new algorithms, the software can perform high-quality translations of usual texts, business documents, technical documents. It supports English-Russian, Russian-English, English-German, German-English, English-Spanish, Spanish-English, English-French, French-English, English-Portuguese, Portuguese-English translations.
You have just to choose the appropriate dictionary for the source text. You won't get a technical translations out of a technical text if you will choose the normal dictioanry. Also you have to choose the correct translation rule, because of the special grammar cases present in any language. For example you cannot obtain the corect translation if you use the english priority for 2nd person, and the same for spanish. For spanish you have to choose 3rd person singular. Anyway there is no need to enter in details.
You can choose to translate the whole document or just a single paragraph. Depending on how long is the document, the translation will last longer. For a better translation you can add additional dictionaries on specific topics, such as science or math terminology.
The interface is similar to Microsoft Word. It supports HTML, PDF,BMP, GIF, TIFF, JPG, DOC, or RTF files. The dictionary can be implemented also in Microsoft Word 97, 2000, XP or 2003. Overall, this is a useful translator that, for its reasonable price, may be a helpful tool for academics and professionals alike.

Drawbacks / flaws: for some users this application might be a little bit difficult to use correctly
In conclusion: A very good translator for academics, professionals, and students.
