 | | Based on the most popular p2p protocol called BittorentBit, Bit Comet is p2p freeware file-sharing application. You can share files from MB to GB sizes. With a interface similar with BitLord, BitComet is a powerful and easy-to-use bittorrent client. Comparing to BitLord it has much more features.
From a tree file you can choose if you want to search for a file or just browse the most used torrent sites for what you want. The downloads can be saved in default folders like video, anime, game, music, software, other.
You can set the proxy server, the disk cache, chatting, the ip filters, the global maximum download rate and the global max upload rate. You can make simultaneous downloads, select downloads in torrent packages and resume the download process.
The present version comes with an improved algorithm for the preview buffering process, that decreases the chances of buffering and makes the error detection of video decoder much stronger. For this version you have to install the.NET Framework support otherwise it won't work.
Pluses: the preview option; the tree file representation; links to the best torrent sites; Firefox browser integration
Drawbacks / flaws: as you all know, the torrent support is legal, but beware of what you are sharing or downloading.
