Virtual Desktop is not the only one and not the best desktop manager, but is one that can meet your expectations. You can create up to four virtual desktops, that can be configured with different wallpapers and icons.
There is no interface, just an active icon from where you can switch between them. If you feel that this is not a good method of switching the desktops, you may try the other two methods: from shortcuts and from hotkeys.
You can change the skin of the active icon or you can set to display the icons on a transparent background. From the installation window you can select the application to check the servers on the internet for the correct time and date.
Pluses: transparency; different skins
Drawbacks / flaws: I couldn't change the desktops from the shortcuts; onnly four virtual desktops available
In conclusion: Gives you the ability of creating diferent desktops for different tasks.
