Super Screen Capture 5.0

'Super Screen Capture' is a program, which can be used to capture items from your desktop. You can capture audio, video, windows (even scrolling windows), shapes, or full screens.

The program is shareware, but there is also a free version in which you can capture just shapes, windows, or full screens.

You can choose between different output methods such as clipboard, printer, email, image editor, or temporary folder. Graphical files can be saved in several image formats like BMP, PNG, JPG, and GIF. Video captures will be saved in AVI format, as for audio captures, they will be saved in WAV format. Video capture options include setting the compression quality, the frames per second, as well as capturing audio, which is optional. Audio capture options are limited to sample rate and size in mono or stereo. You can also capture regions of your screen in different shapes such as rectangles, ellipses, or polygons.

You can edit your images in the built-in editor. Images can be resized, rotated, or cropped. You can also insert text, invert colors, and more. You can set hotkeys for any type of capture such as audio, video, window, etc. The outputs can be saved for a limited (from 1 to 90 days) or unlimited period.

Pluses: You can select also video or audio capture modes, which allow you to practically record everything that is happening on your screen.

Drawbacks / flaws: Only four image outputs are available. You can't capture media player screens. You can't select a source for audio capture.

In conclusion: With its easy-to-use and intuitive interface, Super Screen Capture is a nice capturing application, although not very elaborate compared to others alike.
