 | | CommView is a network utility designed to monitor your Local Area Network and Internet activity. The program auto-detects your network card, so you need to insert the IP addresses together with the subnet masks, start the monitor and you can get logs containing information about protocols, packets transferred, ports and time of connection. You can set rules rules for capturing protocols & direction, MAC and IP addresses, ports, text, TCP flags, processes. You can view statistics, port references, log directory. Tools include: packet generator, reconstruct TCP session, NIC vendor identifier, scheduler. Pluses: The application features options such as installation of dial-up or Token Ring drivers.
