 | | If you are trying to keep track of the things you did, you might want to try MyInfo. This program is a personal information manager. It can help you better manage your time, by providing all the tools necessary to organize your documents. It supports importing your Outlook folders or even an entire folder from your hard disk with all its subfolders and files. It also supports importing Action Outine (AO), TreePad Lite (HJT), Vault (VLT), and Classic .HEAD (HEAD) files.
First thing you need to do when starting the program is create a new topic. Each topic is automatically associated with a special file, which is used to save your documents and their tree structure. The tree nodes can contain formatted text and either attached files or web documents. The folder where the topics are saved can be configured through the Options dialog. Please note that each saved topic will contain all the files that you attach.
This program is designed to help you get your work done. Getting Things Done, commonly abbreviated as GTD, is an action management method. It rests on the principle that a person needs to move tasks out of their mind and get them recorded somewhere.
MyInfo supports searching through the current branch, current document, current topic or through all the topics. It only searches through your notes, it does not search the attached documents. The program supports printing the tree structure, and will ask you whether you want to list the attached text documents, and print the attached images.
Pluses: The tree nodes are displayed on the left side of the program's user interface. This tree view window can be set to also display details about each node, including the priority, the date when it was created, a comment or a web link associated with it.
Drawbacks / flaws: I would have liked to be able to search through the attached text documents, not only through my notes.
In conclusion: This program can act as an organizer for your files or for your daily tasks.
